About Seek the Lost Ministries

by Rev. Robert Vallejo

In early 1994, Jesus came into my life. I was attending Cornerstone Church when I was redeemed and cleansed by the precious blood of Jesus Christ. I remember coming home after that and saying, "Alright, Lord, I'm saved. What do you want me to do?"

Well, literally, right away I got this urge to do something for the Kingdom, even though I was a baby Christian. I bought some Bibles and would go to the downtown Baptist Hospital and visit people in their rooms. I would offer them free Bibles and pray for them, even though I was terrified because I didn't know how to pray.

Also at that time, right after we came to the knowledge of the truth, my wife and I started taking classes through the Cornerstone Ministry Training Institute (CMTI). We graduated from CMTI and were led to become Home Ministers, even though I thought we were still immature as Christians. The Lord opened the door, we just followed his directions.

In 1996 we were commissioned to be Home Ministers and we started a bible study. By that time I had already began going to the bridge with my daughters to feed the homeless. The Bible study group got excited about the ministry opportunity and they started going with us.

Somebody asked me if I fed the homeless and ministered to them. I said, "No, I wouldn't know how to minister to them". Shortly after that, we were at the bridge and about to give thanks for the food. I asked, "Is there anyone here that has not accepted Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior?" There were some people that came forward and accepted Jesus Christ right then.

In 1997, the Lord gave me the name Seek The Lost Ministries. At the time, my wife and I were financing the entire ministry. We were taking food and ministering about four or five times a year. The Lord spoke and told me to "Go and tell these people about me" and gave me a vision of the bridge. So, I said, "Yes, Lord", and we started going to the bridge more often to tell these people about Jesus Christ.

In 1998 we started going every other week. By that time, we had plenty of help. The Lord blessed us with people that wanted to serve.

In 1999, I was invited to a church to give my testimony. While we were praising and worshipping the Lord, He spoke to me and gave me orders to go EVERY Saturday. So, I said, "Yes, Lord". Then I thought "Oh my goodness, who will go on the other Saturdays?" because people were used to going every other Saturday. I was apprehensive about it, but we started going every Saturday and the Lord supplied us with everything we needed. He's an awesome God!

On Nov 15, 1999, I was ordained.

On Jan 1, 2000 Seek the Lost Ministries became a non-profit organization in order to obtain additional financial support.

On July 4, 2001 the Lord spoke to me and told me to start the church and disciple these people we had been ministering to. The following Sunday, I resigned my membership from Cornerstone Church and as of July 15, 2001, Seek The Lost Ministries Church started having Sunday services and Bible studies under the bridge.

The Lord had given me a vision of a long white table, with a bunch of lost souls on one side, and a bunch of spirit filled believers on the other. The believers were witnessing to the lost and winning them to the Lord. Maria Bailey (whose entire family is very dedicated to this ministry) also received the same vision of a long white table. The Lord has fulfilled that because we now have two 40-foot tables and over 100 chairs.

The Lord has given me a couple more visions. The first one is of a white building with at least half a dozen vans with trailers parked outside. I believe that this means that we will be ministering at several locations at the same time. To God be the glory for that. I believe it's going to come to pass. I don't have any doubts

Then the Lord gave me another vision of a building to use as a church. It is beautiful inside with blue pews, blue carpet and blue curtains. It was just an awesome thing to see.

We are excited for these visions to come to pass.

I am a married man, my wife's name is Janie. We have three daughters, Sandra, Michelle and Cynthia, and three grandchildren so far. I am a blessed man. All my daughters and sons-in-law attend church with us under the bridge.

I believe it is an awesome privilege to be called by almighty God. I give all the glory to God and thank the Lord for what's happening. This is exciting!

Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord! Praise the Lord!
